We'd like to make this site easy to read, so we have come up with some simple guidelines. If you can stick to the following format when you send in content we will have less work to do in formatting things for the site, and we'll be able to get more reviews, recipes and great pictures up and online. Everyone's a winner!

It's really important that recipes in particular are laid out well. Sam is still haunted by a recipe she once attempted to make which specified it would only work with fresh yeast as the last line of the instructions.

We hope to keep recipes clear and simple so that people get the best results from their baking efforts.

1. A short description of what the recipe makes.
2. A list of ingredients (please use metric measurements)
3. Any specific guidance on equipment, baking tins oven temperature
4. Method - instructions!
5. Any notes or tips.

Please send picture(s) of the baked goods, baking process etc. so we can entice people into baking your recipes.

afternoon tea

We aim to list only nice places on this site - it's a place for recommendations and for you to make a hullabaloo about your favourite place.

1. The name of the place you're nominating
2. Its location (address if possible)
3. Tell us why you love it so - it is it the menu, the service, the décor, the ambiance, the location? Does the waitress always wink at you? Do they play your favourite disco divas? Why is this spot special?
4. Send us any pictures you have of the place, its tea and cakes to liven up your review ♥

submitting a photo to the teapot or mug gallery

Please take a picture of the teapot or mug in good light on a pale, uncluttered background to show off its beauty to best effect. We find that pictures taken in good natural light come out best, as a camera flash can create strange spots on your nice shiny teapot.
